This is V3 of my previous EDC Micro Screwdriver Set (v2, v1)I also made a version for precision bits Ok, V2 was not so successful as V1 and still had a lot of issues…so I decided to rework the idea from scratch, but keep in mind the most important goals:It must be EDC-compatible (compact, not killing your pockets)It must store at least 7 bitsIt should have keychain hole (strong enough not to loose it!)It must has much better grip than the last 2 versionsIt should be easy to assemble, no extra parts neededIt should look good!And I did it!!! I'm personally really happy with the results and planning to fully replace V1 and V2 in my EDC kit with this screwdriver The screwdriver comes in 3 sizes:S: for 6 +1 bits  (one is hidden inside for easy carry)M: for 12 +1 bits  (one is hidden inside for easy carry)L: for 18 +1 bits  (one is hidden inside for easy carry) Having not enough bits but don't want other bitts to jiggle in handle? No problem! I've added alternative parts print, which has a spare dummy bit. Just print as many as you need and place on empty spaces UPD: Great user @dusty1001 made a great remix with replaceable insert. Brilliant! It's available in additional profile  UPD2: Thanks to the community's feedback (and specifically Reddit's user @For-Rock-And-Stone, I'm also adding as a part of alternative parts profile an alternative cap with a hole for easy and fast access (no need to fully unscrew the cap). Re-spooling once forces the larger curve to be smaller and visa versa. Re-spooling twice reverses this again, and the filament is under less stress when on the spool. Some users say they need to do this with their filament. This is probably more helpful for more brittle filaments (such as PLA-CF, old PLA or uncooked pasta) and much less important for more ductile filaments (such as PETG).Alternative to double re-spooling would be to put it into a filament dryer - warming up the filament will soften the filament somewhat, allow more creep to happen, and take on the new shape. The filament angle changes 90 degrees when re-spooling with the PASTA lite because the spools are at a right angle. Is this a problem?There is a fair bit of distance between the donor spool and receiver spool so the filament has plenty of distance to make the twist. Nevertheless, this could be a problem for the same reason as above (please report back if you have issues!). I do not currently know how much of a problem this would be. Again, this is probably more of an issue for more brittle filaments (such as PLA-CF or old PLA) and much less of a factor for more ductile filaments (such as PETG).Putting the filament it into a filament dryer will help for the same reasons as above.A frame extension to put the two spools farther away would alleviate some twist issues as there will be more distance where the filament can turn (as allow larger spools to be donor spools). This is in the works (and this side quest is rapidly becoming my main quest).Changelog30/12/2024 - Version 0.1First prototype1. Everything printed well the first try (except the bridging inside of “Spindle Front" which looked a little messy)2. Another angle. Most parts self-released.3. A fit issue was cleared up4. Assembly was otherwise quick easy except the guide pin retainer fit was very tight. Test run appeared to go OK.5. However the spool wound too tightly, leading to the rim flaring out. Wear marks on the donor spool. Note the bumpy protrusions - these lead to significantly more friction and wear. Most other donor spools would have been fine.8. The pins and rollers are very loose and will fall out easily, the gaps will need to be tightened up.2. Spindle bridging printability improvements (v0.2 on right)3. Spindle thread pitch reduced for a more secure lock with spool (v0.2 on right). Thread is self-tightening but can loosen when if the spool decelerates rapidly with the driver speed being reduced too quickly.4. Pencil grooves added to be able to mark nominal position of spindle in the axial direction.Various minor fitment and clearance changes were also made. Test run video below. The PLA bearings are extremely noisy. 02/01/2024 - Version 0.3Version 0.3 is posted here, the mainline PASTA lite will take a different design direction that will allow from 0.25kg to 5kg spools to work as donor spools without modification.1.  Roller and roller pin clearances reworked. Pins now have 2 flat sides and the pin slots are more rectangular so that the pins can not turn.2. Holes added to the bottom so the rollers can be pushed out if needed.3. The prototype was printed with 3 walls and 15% grid infill to make it quieter. It is now noticeably less “tinny” when you tap it.4. MagSlide – Sliding Monitor Dock for MagSafe & Apple WatchA simple, modular dock that mounts to your monitor and holds your MagSafe and Apple Watch chargers with a clean, slide-in fit.It’s a frame that sticks to the back of your monitor with strong two-sided tape (Alien Tape or 3M VHB recommended), and a slider insert that securely holds your magnetic wireless charger. Inspired by YouTuber Bob “I Like To Make Stuff” and their quick-rotating design they posted recently. I tried to simplify the approach by not using any rotating mechanisms but still have the ability to hide the charger when not using it.Details:Fits MagSafe and Apple Watch charging pucksMultiple sizes are included in a single print profile to fit various MagSafe models. If your MagSafe charger doesn't fit and you can accurately measure it with calipers, just leave a comment with the outer diameter and thickness. I’ll add it for you.Original Fusion file included if you want to tweak for your own purposesPETG is ideal so the little tabs can flex. I’m using PLA for mine and it works fine, but PETG should be slightly better.Install Procedure:Install your charging puck (MagSafe or Apple Watch) into the slider and route the cable out the backSlide the insert into the main frameToo much or too little friction on the slider? You can hit each tab with a lighter for about 3 seconds to soften the plastic. Then gently adjust as needed. Adhere strong two-sided tape (Alien Tape or 3M VHB recommended) to the angled face of the frameClean the back of your monitor with rubbing alcohol – make sure it’s really clean!Before sticking it down: attach your phone or watch to the puck, fully extend the slider, and carefully position it exactly where you want it. Then stick the frame down to the monitor and you are done.Need to remove the puck later? This catch-all tray/dish is one of several similar designs available on my page. It can be used for keys, change, jewelry, or other small items- or simply for display.  It's an easy, no support print using the provided print profile which has split the object into parts with by object settings to ensure the decorative detail prints properly. Oh, and psst- the lovely surface design is just a combination of easy top surface settings and using tricolor or even dual color filaments *single color or gradient filaments will not produce the same results*. Another day, another deck box concept! This time, I wanted to do something more artistic and colourful. It took me four trials re-modeling the same deck from scratch to get the perfect smooth curvature on the edges!CardsThis deck box fits 60 single-sleeved standard 88 mm x 63 mm cards. After many feedbacks, I created a new profile with a more loose fitting lid. That should help people that previously had trouble with too much friction. It's now available here.Boost MePaint some colour on my work with a free boost! Printing instructionsChoose two of your favourite brightest colours and print each part separately! This deck box comes into two variants:Base variant (yellow and magenta in the sample pictures): only the top and bottom part.Droplets variant (blue and green in the sample pictures): top, bottom and the droplets. The bottom part has circular inserts to slot in the droplets after printing.Each variant comes with two fitting profiles:Tight. The lid fits tightly on the base. Magnets are not needed. Depending on your filament shrinkingproperties, this fit may be too tight. Loose. The lid fits loosely on the base. This fitting works best with magnets to keep the two halves in place.I found through my tests that both provide enough grip to remain closed, either by friction or by magnetism. Pick your favourite.Printing suggestionsSuggest plate. Smooth PEI (high-temperature)Suggest nozzle. 0.4mmSuggest layer height. 0.2 for a quick print; 0.12 to 0.16 (or adaptive) for more aesthetically pleasing circlesAssembly instructionsOriginally, I envisioned this deck as a snap-fit deck using eight 8x2 mm magnets. You can see each part has hidden magnet holes to install 8x2 mm magnets. However, after printing this twice, I noticed that the friction between top and bottom parts of the case are enough to hold the content firmly in place. Feel free to glue in the magnets for an extra strong closure, however, I don't think they are needed! Your choice of filament and the shrinkage property of your filament may anyway produce slightly looser parts. In that case, magnets will be useful. If you are not using magnets and you print using standard Bambu Lab filaments, you may find it useful to wiggle the lid left and right to close it instead of pushing and pulling it directly along the vertical axis.

Smash! If you like my models, please like, share, download, boost, rate and all the amazing good stuff! Most Dice Towers are awesome additions to your board game experience. But it doesn't make rolling the dice any easier. If anything, it makes it more fun but also slightly more inconvenient. Smash! resolves this by having an auto reload functionality. Just smash the top and the dice are automatically rerolled for you. You can still drop them in from the top or change them out. But then, just Smash!  The dice tower should handle any dice up to a diagonal/diameter of 30mm. There is a printable spring included in the print file, but due to creep this spring can fatigue over time and not lift the top of the dice tower up again (but can easily be replaced). It is therefore advised to use an 80*8mm spring (not yet tested because of Bambu shipping mess, but it should work). If you go the printable spring route, it works better if you lube the coils of the spring and the bottom of the top part (ptfe/silicone) to reduce friction. Depending on the filament used you might need to swap it out once in a while, or upgrade to the coil springs mentioned above. Just drop the coil springs (or slide the printed spring) in place and slide the top part of he tower down. It will click in place and if you use the printed spring you might need to nudge the top backwards. If you ever want to take the castle apart again, there are two holes in de side through which you can unlock the clips that keep the castle together. If the bridge doesn't come down by itself you might need to work the hinges a bit before it becomes a smooth action. If that still didn't help, use a bit of lube on the hinges. If the top parts has issues reach the bottom, lube like described above and make sure the spring is pushed all the way into the slot. This is a rack mount solution for the EU2251 Cabel Modem from Spectrum.  Requires 2 M3x16 screws to lock the modem in place. This is a non-destructive mounting solution, they are screwed into the mounting bracket and rest against the back edge of the modem to prevent it sliding out of the mount. The panel matches my 10in Omada Server and Patch Panels. I mounted mine in an enclosure with these rails from Amazon but anything similar should work: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NKHY1PN

In these scenarios, you can make the necessary adjustments to the model's scale using the Bambu Slicer for both the X and Y axes. Ensure that you uncheck the "uniform scale" option before proceeding. If your spool's diameter exceeds the default setting, consider increasing the scale by .25%. Conversely, if your spool's diameter is smaller, reduce the scale by .25%, and your setup should be ready for use.CompatibiltyeSun Cardboard Spools tend to be on the larger side of the spectrum. While they can fit without an adapter, when paired with the rounded adapter, they surpass Bambu Labs’ specifications. Consequently, users have a couple of options to address this:AMS Lid Spacer: Utilizing a spacer for the lid can accommodate the larger spools effectively.Custom Backside Rollers: Alternatively, consider implementing custom backside rollers specifically designed to support these larger rolls.For a straightforward solution, leaving the lid open (or at least not locking it) provides ample room for the spool.For individuals who prefer not to alter their AMS and wish to close the lid, I have incorporated a nearly flat variant that aligns with Bambu Labs’ specifications.PrintingWhen it comes to printing, you should produce two adapters for each cardboard spool. My wife wanted more space on our small bathroom sink area and asked if I could make a little shelf for us to put our toothbrushes on. This little shelf allows you to bundle up the extra wiring from the chargers and hide them inside the shelf. There are holes on the top/back to allow a 2-prong plug to fit through. I also added keyholes on the back for stronger mounting, though I just used some 3M VHB tape and it sems to be holding well so far.This is my first time 3D modeling anything, so please share any feedback!
